Upcoming Trips
September 2009 : Olympic National Park Area
Since I was a child I was always amazed with Orca Whales, their beauty balanced by their lethality. Northwest of Seattle is a migration route for these beautiful creatures, and I am very hopeful to seeing a pod or two while here.
After that will be a week hiking and camping down in Olympic National Park. Here are rainforests and the Pacific coastline, as well as some beautiful waterfalls. During this time of the year the park is much quieter, and I look forward to the peace and quiet.
From here it's just a short drive over to Mt Ranier National Park, a year round ice covered dormant volcano. This area receives a lot of rain and weather, actually seeing the top of Ranier is a bit of a gamble. Also here are some fantastic waterfalls and I'll be taking those in as well.
